Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, headed the UAE delegation participating in the 117th Ordinary Session of the Arab Economic and Social Council, which was held today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
The meeting was attended by Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Tourism, Mohammed Saleh Shalwah Al Tunaiji, Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Tourism for Arab .League Affairs, as well as a number of ministers and officials from participating Arab countries
The session discussed ways to enhance joint Arab cooperation in the economic and social fields, develop sustainable development plans, and coordinate efforts on priority issues at both regional and international levels, in support of Arab economic and social integration.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri affirmed that the United Arab Emirates, guided by the directives of its wise leadership, is keen to play an active role in shaping and implementing economic and social initiatives that strengthen the integration of Arab economies. He noted that the meeting represents an important platform for dialogue and the exchange of expertise, unifying efforts among Arab countries, and launching innovative initiatives and projects that promote sustainable economic and social development.
